Practice your painting with these high quality pigments from Caran d’Ache. The company has been around for over 100 years, so they know a thing or two (or three) about making luxury art supplies. Here, they've developed a complete set of creamy gouache paints that have the ease of watercolor with qualities that are similar to acrylics. Just load your brush with water and dab it into the color tablets. You’ll notice that while similar to watercolor pigment, they are opaque and allow you to cover parts of your composition—easily transforming your mistakes into happy accidents.
About Caran d’Ache
Arnold Schweitzer founded Caran d’Ache after buying a pencil factory in Geneva in 1915. The name of the company is derived from the world karandash, which is the Russian word for “pencil” and in turn comes from the Turkish root “kara tash” that refers to blackstone—the origins of graphite.
